Ocean 🌊

The waves roll in with a soft, steady hum,

A gentle rhythm where the salt air's from.

The sun spills gold upon the cool, wet sand,

Connecting ocean, sky, and quiet land.

A whisper follows every foamy crest,

The world outside is given a long rest.

Small footprints fade with each returning tide,

No place to run, and nothing left to hide.

The vast horizon stretches on and on,

From fading light until the coming dawn.

A deep and patient breath, a tranquil sight,

The ocean holds the day and then the night.

And in that moment, all the rushing slow,

Just you and water, with a peaceful glow.

A timeless beauty, simple, clear, and true,

The endless, calming, boundless, endless blue.

Life…

The book of Ecclesiastes holds such a profound and timeless message. It's a journey through the questions we all have about life's meaning.

Here is a poem that explores that feeling of seeking and finding a deeper purpose beyond what is fleeting.

Under the Sun

A chase for something more, a fleeting gain,

The work of hands, the harvest of the brain.

A house of riches, and a table set,

Yet in the stillness, there is deep regret.

A weary soul that longs for lasting ground,

Where purpose echoes with a certain sound.

The hurried race, the laughter and the sigh,

All just a breath that passes quickly by.

For every promise that the world can make,

There is a hollow ache that worldly things won't take.

Until the heart looks past what it can see,

To find the peace that sets the spirit free.

And so the truest treasures, not of gold,

Are in the wisdom that we're given, bold.

To fear the Lord, and walk in grace and light,

And find that life's true meaning burns so bright.
