The ads are crazy 🤪!

Ugh, that's the worst! It can be so frustrating when your own space gets cluttered with wild ads.

Are the ads coming from the blogging platform itself (like Blogger or a free WordPress plan), or did you add a service like Google AdSense to monetize it?

Sometimes the free platforms go a little overboard to cover their costs. Depending on where the ads are coming from, you might be able to go into the settings and adjust their placement or how many appear.

Got it. Okay, that's actually good news because it means you have direct control over them!

The most likely reason they've gone wild is a feature called "Auto ads." It lets Google's AI decide where to place ads, and sometimes it gets a little too enthusiastic. You can easily tell it to calm down.

Here’s how you can adjust it:

* Log in to your Google AdSense account.

* In the menu on the left, click on Ads.

* You'll see a list of your sites. Find your blog and click the little pencil icon (✏️) next to it to edit its settings.

This will open up a preview of your site with the ad settings on the right. The most important setting to look for is the "Ad load" slider.

It's probably cranked all the way up. Try sliding it down towards the middle or a lower setting. As you move it, you'll see the number of ads on the preview page decrease.

You can also uncheck specific ad formats you don't like, such as "Anchor ads" (the ones that stick to the top/bottom) or "Vignette ads" (the full-screen ones that appear between pages).

After you click "Apply to site," it might take up to an hour for the changes to go live. This should make a huge difference!
